The Tide Fold Vessel captures the lasting mark left by receding tides.
Hand-shaped in Jingdezhen, its sculptural body rises in uneven undulating folds, echoing the ridges and creases carved into shoreline stone after the tide pulls away. Layers of hand-painted grey-blue brushwork sweep across the off-white ceramic surface, mimicking the mottled weathering of coastal rock exposed to wind and water.
This piece is not about fleeting ripples on the water. It speaks of slow, persistent erosion, texture forged over time. The asymmetrical silhouette and rough painterly surface bring grounding, earthy character to a room.
